  • Q9. Does SIH have any international accreditation?
SIH has been awarded the ISQM Silver Award. We are the first international school in the city to gain accreditation that meets the Ministry of Education’s standards and this also makes us full members of ISAT. Our vision is to be the first choice of international school for parents in the region and we aim to achieve it by offering a safe, quality, learning environment at great value. This award will help parents make informed choices for their children based on quality as determined by external experts as well as what we say about ourselves. Of course, there are also things we need to improve, highlighted in the report, but we have already started work on them and will be striving for Gold in five years’ time. SIH is also accredited by National Day Nurseries Association’s (NDNA). In February this 2021 we were awarded the ‘Quality Counts’ mark at Platinum level, the highest possible. SIH’s Early Years section has received international recognition for the quality of care it offers children. We are the first whole school with nursery in Thailand to gain the award and only the second Early Years/Nursery section. Quality Counts is a UK quality scheme designed to help a nursery explore all aspects of its care and education to ensure that it is delivering the best possible service for young children. We are also an approved Cambridge International Examinations centre and licenced provider of the IPC:
  • Q10. Why choose SIH?
SIH has grown considerably in the past few years, mostly through recommendation from current parents. Apart from being accredited by NDNA, ISQM, and others, most parents select SIH due to the attentiveness of our professional teaching staff. We care about a child’s academic, emotional, social and physical growth, which are central to learning and development. We believe in inspiring, empowering, and enriching our students to be self-assured. Moreover, the international dimension assists students to be more confident in thinking, action, and using the English language. Based on parents’ interviews, they choose SIH because they say that children are safe, happy and achieve here. The school’s ambiance is characterized by friendship, openness, mutual respect to support student learning and diversity.
