Safeguarding : Building a secure community for everyone.

At Southern International School, safeguarding is not just a priority – it is the foundation of our commitment to ensuring that every student feels safe, respected and supported. Our dedicated Safeguarding Team, led by Ms Zoe, the Designated Safeguarding Lead, alongside our Deputy Designated Safeguard Leads, Ms Donna, Ms Bryony and Ms Few,  who work tirelessly to uphold the highest standards of care and protection for our school community.

We understand the vital role that safeguarding plays in fostering a positive and secure learning environment. Our approach goes beyond compliance; we focus on creating a culture where safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Through clear policies, regular training and open communication, we ensure that staff are fully equipped to recognise and respond to any potential concerns, while students are encouraged to speak up in a safe, supportive atmosphere.

Our safeguarding procedures are rigorous and transparent. Whether through safeguarding checks, staff training or collaboration with external agencies, we ensure that all members of our community are aware of the policies in place and how to follow them. We also take a proactive approach, identifying and mitigating risks early on to prevent harm before it occurs.

Parents and students alike can be assured that Southern International School is a place where safety comes first. We believe that safeguarding is essential to building trust and providing an environment where every student can flourish, knowing that their wellbeing is our top priority.
